On today's LET'S TALK ABOUT FOOD....


We have~~~~


Bacon and Mushroom Carbonara!!! The very easy version hahahaha.
Trust me, it tastes so legit I think it can be sold in restaurants LOL #SelfPraise

I have no idea how the usual carbonara is made, maybe it's already very easy on its own but I tried searching for some carbonara recipes and they sound/look really complicated haha so I decided to try it this way!!!

I am not a fan of cream-based pasta though, but somehow I was craving for it so I decided to cook it!!!


I'm using this Hello Kitty Pasta I got from Japan. You can use any other you prefer, like penne!!

What I used:
Hello Kitty Pasta
Milk
Campbell Cream of Mushroom
Salt
Pepper
Bacon (Diced or sliced)
Button Mushroom (Sliced)
Breakfast Ham (Diced)
Onion (Diced)
Garlic (Diced)

Sounds like a lot of ingredients but they are just really basic, you can make do without ham actually!


And you can buy diced garlic at the groceries store, we don't have those at home so...


Also canned soup is the best invention on earth HAHA #ILoveYouCampbell #NotAnAd LOL


I forgot to prepare my mushrooms so I only added them later on. #Amateur HAHAHA

AND I cooked my pasta first in another pot for around 9 min~


So yeap I didn't get to snap pictures because being an amateur cook like me I was being very panicky with every step HAHAHA, I threw in bacon first, cooked for a bit and threw in garlic, then onion.
After that I put in half can of Cream of Mushroom, added milk and mixed them in LOW HEAT. Important 'cause it will be very clumpy and gross if it's not low heat. Mom told me HAHAHA.
You can put it to medium heat after the condensed soup is dissolved!


The milk and condensed soup proportion should be around 1.5:1 so it will not be too thick, but really depends on how thick you want it to be! Milk will thicken in the heat anyway.
I read online somewhere that if you add milk later on, it will preserve the milk's taste so I added more milk near the end hahaha.


TAADAAAAA!!! Oh and remember to put some salt and pepper to taste~~

I can't tell you the exact measurements of the ingredients 'cause it was really just.... very anyhow HAHA I just guessed my way through!
Anyway I think I used about 150g of pasta, along with 2 slices of ham, 2 slices of bacon, half a can of cream of mushroom and almost 3/4 of the carton of 500ml milk~~


Decided to put some Parmesan Cheese at the end!!!


AND it's ready to serve!!!

Admit it, it looks damn good HAHAHA are you impressed ;)

It's time for LET'S TALK ABOUT FOOD again after so long hehe.

Today we have Cinnamon bread sticks with Nutella (or any toppings you like haha).
It's a SUPER EASY recipe as always, nothing on Let's Talk About Food will be tough 'cause I'm too lazy to make any food that takes more than 10 steps HAHAHA.

What I used:
Bread
Butter
Cinnamon Sugar (You can get this at any groceries store!)
Nutella or any spread you like


Bobbi loves bread. Bobbi loves anything that he can eat hahahaha.



First of all, just cut your bread up in slices as shown above~


Go to your pan and melt that butter.


Just place all your bread sticks on the pan and wait for them to sizzle. Used medium heat and cook them till golden brown. Or just brownish like toast LOL.


Don't overcook like what I did for a few sticks HAHAHA. Flip over, wait for a bit and you're ready~


Sprinkle lots and lots of cinnamon sugar!!! I get a bit crazy here but at least I didn't use up the entire bottle HAHA. Bought mine from Japan but you can easily get cinnamon sugar at any groceries store, tastes pretty much the same.


Yeap, sprinkle A LOT.


And just choose your spread!!!


Went with lots of Ovalmaltine and some Nutella~~~~

It's perfect for breakfast or tea time, and super addictive! Don't eat too much of these though, my throat hurts now HAHAHA #Beware. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Since I was young, I LOVE to snack :X
And one of my favourite snacks is YOGURT because it's not only delicious, but also really healthy!

Recently, I'm really into Danone Ultimate Greek Yogurt... I have to say they are one of the most delicious ones that I've tried!


Danone Greek Yogurt is made with 100% Australian Milk AND fresh fruits, unlike others with dried fruits~
The texture of the yogurt is really creamy and thick as well which I LOVE!

They have 5 different flavours - Strawberry, Black Cherry, Blueberry, Honey and Raspberry!



Anyway, since I've been such a fan of yogurt, I've tried many ways to include yogurt in some of my snacks just to make them a little more favourable for my tastebuds. xD
SOOOOO I'm going to be showing you TWO recipes, using Danone Yogurt!!! ^_^

First of all!!!


Honey Berries Yogurt Parfait!!! 

It's really simple to make, plus it can be an easy and healthy snack for you to make beforehand and bring it to school or work the next day! :D


INGREDIENTS
- Slices of Fresh Fruits (Strawberries or Bananas)
- Dried Fruits (I'm using Cranberries here)
- Muesli Bars
- Danone Greek Yogurt (I'm using Honey flavour BUT you can use any other flavours if you prefer!)


First of all, prepare your Muesli Bars! Chop them off or crumble them into small pieces to fit in the jar~



Put a layer of Muesli on the bottom of your jar!


Next layer will be Danone Greek Yogurt! Put in a generous amount~~~


After that, top it off with your fresh fruits! I opt for Strawberries!


Put another layer of Muesli and repeat the steps!


Another layer of Danone Greek Yogurt~~


Here to garnish my yogurt parfait, I'm topping it off with dried cranberries and a full strawberry!


TAADANG! Looks super yummy and EXTREMELY easy to make! ^_^

Next recipe I have here is a Yogurt Smoothie!!! I LOVE SMOOTHIES~~~


Strawberry Banana Yogurt Smoothie~

You will feel a bit cheated on how EASY it is to recreate this recipe HAHAHA... PLUS it's really really good, trust me on that!


INGREDIENTS
- Frozen Strawberries & Bananas
- Honey
- Danone Greek Yogurt in Strawberry Flavour


To start off, just pop some frozen fruits into the smoothie blender!
I used about 6 strawberries and 1 banana! If you're not a huge fan of strong banana flavours, you can put in more strawberries and half the banana!


Next the highlight!!! I'm putting in the whole of this Danone Greek Yogurt!
I'm using Strawberry flavour - you can see the fresh fruit bits inside!!! :D


After that, you can add in a bit of honey if you prefer sweeter smoothies~


And the next step....



BLEND THEM ALL!!!
Look at the gorgeous pink~~


Pour into a glass and it's ready to serve! Cold, creamy and thick~

Finally back with this series of SUPER EASY RECIPES for lazy people like me! :)

Today's not actually about food kind of food, but a super yummy drink I had back at a cafe in Penang!
The creation was a blend of Lychee and Rose in milk called Lychee Rose Latte, and I fell completely in LOVE with it, for how easy the recipe can be, and how tasty the combination is!!!

The cafe's version has a strong taste of milk and a tinge of lychee scent to it. I can barely taste any rose in it, but I'm sure there's some, just that the taste of milk and lychee overpowers it - which to me is something I adore since I'm not a HUGE HUGE fan of rose flavourings.

ANYWAY here's my take of Lychee Rose Frappe!!!


First of all, ingredients!


What I used - 
Milk
Rose Essence (You can get it at any supermarket)
Dried Roses (I got it from some Chinese medical shops)
Canned Lychee
Ice Cubes

You can freeze the milk and blend it either, if you're looking for a thicker texture, so you won't need any ice cubes!




First, put in some ice cubes in your blender!



And add in half a cup of milk! (With half a cup of milk, this recipe turns out it's enough for TWO pax so I guess you can put lesser of everything if you just wanna try this yourself)



Put in some lychee, I've added about 6 of them, and a ton of syrup HAHAHA.
It really depends on how sweet the canned lychee you bought is, and just put it to taste!


Next, add in ONE DROP or HALF A DROP of Rose Essence!!!
Remember, don't add too much because you don't want everything to taste like rose, and trust me, half a drop is all it takes. xD



Blend everything out into a frothy texture!!! Make sure all the lychees are blended as well!
Then stop the blender and add in MORE lychee (about 3-5 depends on how much you like), and BLEND IT SLOWLY, leaving bits of lychee left in your frappe!!!


Once your're done, pour out your mixture in a cute glass cup and then add some whipped cream on top. ;)



For decoration, add on a piece of dried rose.


Or you can tear the petals up and just scatter some on top just for it to look like it's so classy.


TAADAA!!!!

ALL DONE.

You will be so surprised by the taste, I LOVE IT!!! ^_^
